Notably, renewable energy was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of social media and robotics, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the power industry, Enel Americas had the greatest increase in references for renewable energy in Q3 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 234 renewable energy-related sentences in the company's filings - 6% of all sentences - and an increase of 2500% in Q3 2023 compared with Q3 2022. Avangrid’s mentions of renewable energy dropped by 50% to 164 and WEC Energy Group’s by 47% to 155 and RWE’s by 31% to 144 and First Solar’s by 3% to 137.
