Heinrichs Messtechnik is a key industrial member of the KOBOLD GROUP and one of the most experienced solution providers of innovative instrument products for process measurement worldwide.

For more than 100 years, we have been developing and providing extremely robust and reliable measurement technology in the area of flow measurement, setting the highest standards for accuracy, repeatability, and reliability. With our wide range of instruments and technical experience, we are capable of covering almost all flow applications for modern process industries.

Instruments for life

From our manufacturing base in Köln, Germany, Heinrichs Messtechnik specialises in flow measurement instruments such as coriolis mass, electromagnetic, vortex, variable area, and target flow meters.

Heinrichs Messtechnik produces several types of flow measurement instruments, including coriolis mass, electromagnetic, vortex, target, and variable area flow meters.
Heinrichs provides many level meters and switches used to measure bypass, buoyancy, capacity, radar, piezoelectricity, and dual magnets.
Heinrichs product range includes both differential and standard pressure transmitters.
Heinrichs manufactures resistance thermocouples, which are all built to industry standards.
Mechanical density meters are part of Heinrichs power industry instruments and are used for two-phase liquids.

SMART control and communication features such as HART®, Profibus-PA, Modbus RTU (RS 485), and Fieldbus are available as selectable standard electronic options from our transmitter module UMC. The products are ATEX-certified for specified hazardous area applications.

Our customers around the world and international sales offices receive solutions for countless applications based on decades of technical and manufacturing expertise. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, our team offers a quality and valued service, as well as good quality instrument solutions that provide safety, reliability, and accuracy for power plants and machines.

Process industry-based

Heinrichs Messtechnik flow meters measure several types of liquids, from water to highly corrosive fluids, and are produced with wetted materials ranging from stainless steel to polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), through to more advanced materials such as hastelloy and tantalum.

With our innovative and approved range of instruments and services for flow and level applications, we have prominence and expertise in the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, shipbuilding, as well as the machine and plant engineering industry. We also have knowledge of water, wastewater, chemical injection in oil rigs, as well as sub-sea drilling and fracking applications.

Competence and solution-orientated

Heinrichs ensures safety and reliability in the process industry, providing standard cooling circuits to high-pressure injection systems, and measuring low-flow columns under high pressure. The company also provides measurement solutions in many other environmental conditions such as offshore platforms, pipelines, refineries, and power plants.

Power stations

Regardless of whether power plants are oil, gas, coal, or nuclear-powered, we know and understand the processes. From the wellhole to processing in the plant, you can expect the highest performance in measurement accuracy and robustness.

From central water supply to cooling / heating and sub-circuits, our instruments must deliver maximal performance 24/7. At Heinrichs Messtechnik, we fully understand this.

Technology on demand

Machines and plant equipment are becoming more and more complex and simultaneously more efficient.  An effective measurement operation in turn also requires components that are more efficient and reliable.

Heinrichs Messtechnik has been developing and manufacturing custom-manufactured industrial high-end sensor technology for decades. From high-pressure to high-temperature, and high-viscosity to high-accuracy, we meet specific application requirements, which is a key advantage recognised by our clients.

We produce high-performing flow meters with pressures up to 1000bar. We comply with custody provisions under adverse conditions and manufacture cost-efficient measuring instruments for non-off-the-shelf serial machines.

With the resources of the KOBOLD GROUP and with Heinrichs Messtechnik’s production of flow, temperature, level, pressure, and density sensor systems, we are able to develop and produce a quality instrumentation service to suit your specific application and needs. We call this ‘technology on demand’. Your requirements for performance and cost efficiency are our challenge.
